FAQs:
I
don't have any experience at all, should I take private lessons?
Many people start private lessons without any cheer or tumbling experience. I
recommend scheduling a single lesson to find out your current level and what
you need to work on in order to be ready for tryouts. It may be that it would
be more cost effective to take a group tumbling class or strength training program
before starting private lessons.
When is
a good time to start?
One year prior to the tryout is recommended, though great results have come
out of even only 1 month of training. It very much depends on the requirements
for making the team and the athlete's current ability level (regarding flexibility,
strength, coordination, and prior dance/cheer/tumbling experience). For example,
if you are starting out with no cheer experience, but have been doing another
sport for years and have good coordination, you may be able to pick up the
skills you need much quicker than others. Don't wait to find out though, schedule
a single lesson to find out your current skill level now!
What times
and days are available for lessons?
Availability includes weekdays and weekends.
Time slots change frequently, so please email your availability
to find out what is currently available. Read the information
and policies form to find out how to schedule a lesson.
