Information
Purpose
The
purpose of the non-profit Capital Cheer Booster Club is to raise and
collect funds to
pay for Capital Cheer members competition expenses. CCBC will have both on-going
and
one-time fundraisers available for members throughout the year so that those
members
who wish to participate in fundraisers will have
an opportunity to do so. Each member will have an account in CCBC where their
fundraised money and their deposited money will be kept. The club will pay
for each member's competition expenses from their CCBC account.
Membership
Fees
CCBC's
annual membership fee is $20.00
per family. The money collected through membership fees will be used to run
the
non-profit club (i.e. registration fees, office supplies, and accountant's
fees). To join CCBC write a check for $20.00 made out to Capital Cheer Booster
Club, or CCBC, and place it in
the Healthy Spirit Tuition box upstairs at the gym. Membership begins once
a check is received.
Is
Membership Required?
Capital
Cheer members are required to join the CCBC. Membership fees are collected
annually
on a per family basis. If you have more than one cheerleader in your family
you only pay for one booster club membership each year.
Membership
Benefits
CCBC
members will have ample opportunities to participate in fundraisers
throughout the year in order to earn money to help pay for their cheerleader's
competition expenses. CCBC members may also benefit from group fundraising
and general donations.
Fundraising
The
actual amount you earn in a fundraiser will be deposited into your cheerleader's
competition account. For example, if you purchase $250 in Giant script,
you will earn the full 4% profit, or $10.00. (Please note: Giant changed
their percentage from 5% to 4% in spring of 2003.) A verification sheet
will be given, or emailed, to each fundraiser participant at the conclusion
of a fundraiser (or monthly for an on-going fundraiser). One copy of
this sheet will then be signed and returned so you can verify the amounts
you earned. Or you may verify amounts earned via email.
Statements
Monthly
statements will be sent to all Capital Cheer participants via email,
postal mail, or hand-outs. This statement will show your account total
and outline any deductions that have been made to pay for competition
expenses or overdue tuition expenses.
